In the second quarter of 2021, the casual gaming landscape in Africa showcased dynamic trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here is a closer look at the performance of the top 5 casual games based on data from Sensor Tower.

Candy Crush Saga from King experienced notable fluctuations in its weekly revenue, starting at $158K in late March and peaking at $324K by late June. Weekly downloads showed a steady decline from 146K to 139K, while weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 5M.

Gardenscapes by Playrix saw a mixed trend in revenue, with a high of $148K in mid-June and a low of $69K in mid-April. Downloads for the game decreased from 47K to 28K over the quarter. Active users also declined from 638K to around 466K.

Coin Master by Moon Active had a varied revenue pattern, reaching a peak of $144K in late June. Downloads increased from 14K to 16K, and active users saw a slight increase from 106K to 108K.
